This was a fairly quick concept for my first project this year; a eco-concept for PBFA, an OEM who do a lot of work for M&S, who keep popping up at Brunel somehow...
The basic idea is a windowsill herb garden that uses a hydroponic system to circulate nutrient-rich water over the roots. Over the course of the design I looked into alternative methods of powering the hydroponic system, including gravity, but these didn't make it onto the final concept board.
A few months after the submission, we were in DEC and found a graduate's major project, which was surprisingly similar. Great minds...
