I'm a firm believer than everything within an organisation should be properly designed, from important posters to simple menus.
So when given the mocktails menu to design for Brunel CU's acoustic night, instead of spending 2 minutes on word and producing a nasty bit of white paper with black text on, I designed a nice menu that matched our posters.
Aside from getting 15 lines of text hand-justified together, the bit I was most proud of was taking a very poor quality photo of a guitar head, and making it look fairly reasonable - thank goodness for Gimp's blur filter!
